As some of you might have noticed, I have been notably absent from LiveJournal for some time. This is mostly due to a series of unfortunate events - an illness, loss of job, retirement for disability, emotional problems leading to a nervous breakdown. Someone told me it's all happening at the zoo...

Today, we spent a gorgeous afternoon at the Lowry Park Zoo, in Tampa. We joined my son and his girlfriend there, and spent several hours wandering through the park observing the animals. It was a fun day, and I thought I'd share a few photos.

Hurricane Tropical Storm Fay is on her way.
